Community

  • A monthly meal designed to combat isolation in our area, which takes place on the fourth Thursday of each month at 11:30 AM. Our program brings fellowship and community to people in our region through visitation and meal delivery.

  • Support for A Child Shall Lead Them food pantry and Lilies of the Field thrift store ensures that members of our community have sustained access to basic necessities. Each year, our church also supports a shoe ministry and purchases mittens for children facing barriers.

  • Generous donations from local churches are administered by Main Street UMC to assist with immediate needs such as utility bills, rent, vouchers for gasoline, kerosene for heat during the winter months, diapers, and school supplies. This ministry aids well over 100 families every year.

  • We partner with Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church to provide diapers and other needs for infants and families who face economic barriers.

  • We offer a play group for children under 5. Caregivers (men and women) have an opportunity to fellowship with each other over snacks while their children enjoy our play area.

  • Real Talk is for young adults of diverse ages (18 and up) to fellowship and grow together in the word. It’s a support group for navigating life’s issues and Christianity in a safe space in order to find truth in Jesus. We encourage and enable one another to be lights in our respective communities. Come join us for free coffee and conversation and see for yourself!
